Khayangan Estate Wedding
It all happened 10 years ago when Francesca and Nicolo met for the first time during a Christmas holiday. “Our families had been spending holidays at this beach since we were young, but for some reason we had never met each other. The stars aligned for us that night.” spilled Cesca. That story then brings us here to their epic journey.
This inspiring couple were in a long-distance relationship between US and The Philippines in the first 2 years. And from that journey, they committed to building a solid foundation for their relationship. And the balance of each person’s passions have brought them closer even more.
When recalling the moment of her proposal, Cesca explained that it happened naturally during a Coldplay concert in Manila. But little did she know that a month before the proposal, Nicolo asked for Cesca’s family blessing and told them about his plans to propose. Finally, the day came and “A Sky Full of Stars” began to play when Nicolo popped the question. It was a candid and simple moment share between them, in an ocean of concert-goers, all jumping to the beat of Coldplay.
Francesca & Nicolo’s wedding was envisioned to be a reflection of their Philippine roots and their love for the beach & ocean. Thus, they chose to be married in the Island of Gods, Bali. So, they decided to implement the Island’s tropical vibe to the whole setup. And Khayangan Estate was the perfect option for them, not only because of its beautiful yet antique Balinese setting. But also since the venue has a picturesque cliffside view of the Indian Ocean.
“It was a nice nod to our relationship too, as Nicolo and I first met on a cliffside resort as well.” she continued. Further, the aesthetic of their reception set up has totally got us enchanted. Look at how the pair infused green and white tone, with a touch of tropical chinoiserie to reflect their Filipino-Chinese roots. Besides, Cesca & Nicolo also customised leather luggage tags for their guests, as a token of gratitude for taking the time to travel in Bali for their special occasion. And it was truly a day full of festivity and memorable moments. Hop right below to see the full gallery from their wedding day!
Fun fact: “Nicolo is an ice cream eating monster – he once won a ice cream eating contest while on vacation.” – Cesca.
