Australia Road Trip & Country Side Living
I was raised in a family that is rather big than small, having two brothers and a sister. Since we were kids, we often time spent our night by watching movies together, most of it are adventurous stories. As we grow older, going on a road trip has always been on our bucket list. And this year we decided to give it a go.
We could have hired a better car that will ease us on our trip but we insists on getting an old school camper van that accommodates three passengers. This trip is like no other, we had jazz and indies music on repeat, we rolled down the window though it was freezing cold and not to forget we enjoyed the trip with plenty of champagne and wines and also proper steaks for dinner.
The drive started from Sydney to Melbourne, which is supposed to be a 10-hour drive through the toll road, but we did not want that and took the coastal and forest drive instead. There were days when we drove short only for 100 km and also a very long drive that was around 500km plus per day. Every evening, we would stopped at a camper van parking spot where we rest, plugged the electricity power and cooked our dinner. One of the very best out of this stop is they provided unlimited hot shower. It was freezing cold, I bet you know how precious hot shower is.
We drove and drove, and at the end of the trip we stayed at my Aunt’s house which is 10 minutes away from the twelve apostles and 3.5 hours away from the city of Melbourne. There we experienced the genuine life of countryside, where they must equipped their house as sustainable as possible. There were no electrical heater but a classic fireplace to warmup the house. No bakery around, but Rod ( uncle) would baked his own bread.
This trip has ticked one of my bucket lists and I have found myself to never get enough of it. Will be departing on the next trip shortly.
Buckle up !
