It was a break of dawn when we arrived at Villa Karang Putih. Morning came with raindrops but we were hoping for a good day. It looked just like a regular Saturday morning. Except it wasn’t.
There was no signs of wedding around the Villa compound and the room was filled with the smell of white roses as we entered the house. Sara greeted us with an ear-to-ear smile while getting her make up done. The face of this mix Denmark-Indo blood, glowed with happiness. Every bride does. How could she not? She was about to marry her lover that she met 10 years ago. Their love had gone through all ups and downs. For them to come together as one at that very moment, certainly wasn’t an easy path. But they made it through.
In the other room, Rico was reciting his wedding vow over and over again. Black tuxedo, along side with his groomsmen, looking sharp as ever. He is the luckiest man in the room. You can tell how nervous he was by the look on his face. There was a knock on the door, it was time to go.
The skies cleared up, the rain had stopped. People started to come and filled up the church benches. Sara looked ridiculously beautiful in her wedding gown as she walked down the aisle. At a glance, they both look like a match made in heaven.
From the church ceremony, tea pai and reception, everything was beautifully set up. Intimate and heart-warming, we indeed was lucky to have witnessed the union of this couple.
Here are some of the once in a lifetime moments captured by us from the wedding of Rico & Sara.
